Melissa - Lady Boss

Welcome to the office! I'm your Lady Boss, Melissa. I've been a pseudo professional for 15 years. I've been answering phones since I was 17 and honestly, it's a freaking gift, a natural talent, and a great time to showcase my many characters. I've been an on and off blogger for the last four or five years and I have super sucked at it. I recently started over with a new job, and this fresh start gave me better clarity as to the content of my blog. Before I get into that, here are a few things you should know about me. 

1. I'm a mom - don't ever call me a mama bear. I will slap you.

2. I'm a freaking amazing wife - ask my husband, he'll tell you. He may roll his eyes, but he'll tell you.

3. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I am so glad to know him!

4. I'm like the most professional person I know - JK, but I sure put on a good face when needed

5. My sense of humor is dry, self-deprecating, and at times really horrible

6. I suffer from depression and OCD that manifests itself in obsessive thoughts rather than behaviors

7. I am medicated, and I standby my decision to medicate

8. I'm southern through and through

9. While I am a political person I will NEVER write about politics on my blog (I will write about Jesus though)

10. I will NEVER EVER try to sell you something, and I will NEVER EVER ask you to "Join my team"

Now about my blog content, I will post about my life. Basically this is a lifestyle blog, but it's not one of those fancy photo shopped, perfect lighting, edit out the pile of dirty laundry and dishes blogs. You'll find a little of everything here: outfits, product reviews, marriage stuff, parenting stuff, weight loss, professionalism, mental heath, and piles of dirty laundry and dishes. Also, now that my children are getting older, I won't be posting photos of their faces here or on my Insta. So you will see them, but their faces will probably be covered with some goofy sticker. They should get to choose how their image is used and I won't be using them for clicks. That is all there is to it. I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to build community with you!
